PS Equipment Ltd was established in the year 2000, when founder Peter saw a clear gap in the New Zealand machinery market and started sourcing new and used Kyokuto concrete boom pumps directly from Japan. Kyokuto had been building concrete boom pumps since 1966, and their reputation for durability under hard, continuous use made them a natural fit for New Zealand operators who couldn't afford downtime.
What began with boom pumps grew into a broader Kyokuto offering slide-deck transporters, tail-lift attachments, bin lifters and refuse compactors the kind of truck-mounted machinery that supports the same customer base already relying on us for concrete pumps.
As the business matured, so did our supplier network. We established a direct relationship with DY Corporation in South Korea, importing their concrete boom pumps and fitting them to New Zealand-specified chassis so operators get a unit ready for local conditions from day one. We also brought Jacon Equipment into the market an Australian manufacturer with deep roots in the mining industry, and a product range that covers trailer concrete pumps, shotcrete equipment and truck-mounted line pumps. More recently, we've partnered with STG Global to supply hydro-excavation and vacuum trucks, water carts and specialist truck-mounted machinery.
